Before installing artificial nest boxes, FundaBúho prioritizes the identification and monitoring of potential habitats, particularly in areas where trees have been pruned prior to the breeding season, as well as in grasslands affected by wildfires. These landscapes often experience a significant loss of natural cavities and represent key opportunities for conservation action. To strengthen this preventive and science-based phase of the project, the foundation requires specialized monitoring equipment over the next two years. During this initial phase, we seek to acquire:
Financial contributions deposited into our bank accounts are essential to sustain FundaBúho’s work. Donations allow us to acquire key materials for the construction of artificial nesting cavities, as well as tools and supplies needed for the maintenance of nest boxes installed in the field. You may support our project by donating a fully built artificial nest box or monitoring equipment (camera trap) directly to our project, located at Hotel Robledal.

Companies may support FundaBúho by providing voluntary space for the installation of an artificial nesting cavity. This is coordinated with maintenance, occupational safety, or environmental departments, aiming to support owl species that have completely lost nesting opportunities in traditional green areas. This action not only benefits wildlife conservation but also contributes to natural biological control, enhancing corporate sustainability efforts.
